What SkyWrite specifically collects

  • Account data. Email address, password hash, and a name. Phone number if you give us one (we ask, because we need to reach you on the day of the flight if weather changes).
  • Booking data. What you want written in the sky (text or logo), the requested date and window, the venue or address, and any notes you add to the booking.
  • Location data. Precise location for the delivery point - i.e., where the skywriting drone needs to fly. We collect this either from a map pin you drop, an address you type, or, if you grant the permission, your device's location at the time you create the booking. We do not run background location collection.
  • Payment data. Card information goes directly to Stripe. We receive a transaction ID, last four digits, the amount, and the status. We do not see your full card number.
  • Flight execution data. Once a flight is scheduled, we keep records of the flight plan, the actual flight log, and any media we capture for delivery to you (photos, video) - bound to your booking.
  • Device and usage data. Standard server logs (IP, device, app version, crash reports).

What SkyWrite does not collect

  • We do not run background location. Location is only used while you are actively booking or, if you opt in, on the day of the flight to confirm you arrived at the venue.
  • We do not share your booking with anyone other than the operations team flying it and the processors listed below.
  • We do not run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Sharing

The SkyWrite-specific processors are: Stripe (payments), Apple and Google (where in-app purchase is used for any add-on), Supabase (booking + account database), and the cloud mapping provider we use for the map view (currently Mapbox; this may change with notice). We may share booking and flight-plan data with the FAA, local airspace authorities, or law enforcement when required for airspace coordination, accident review, or in response to a valid legal request.

Children

SkyWrite is intended for adult booking customers (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Deletion

You can delete your account from the in-app Settings screen or by emailing jesse@niroaerial.com from your registered address. We will retain flight logs and booking records for the period required by FAA recordkeeping rules and our own commercial-aviation compliance policy (typically up to 3 years), even after you delete the account; those records will be detached from your personal information where practical.
